My client, a large managed services organisation is looking for an Network Project Engineer to join their team in providing technical engineering duties on projects and to be a central technical point of contact on end customer projects and maintenance work.
Candidates must hold a minimum level accreditation of Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching (Ideally CCNP) and have plenty of experience in networking technical design, configuration and fault finding.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Converting high level to low level network designs
- Good experience of technical project delivery and support
- Knowledge of Manufacturer tools required to perform duties i.e. manufacturer license registration/generation
- VLAN and IP Addressing schemes
- VRF design/implementation
- Firewall design and deployment including access list creation
- Wireless Controller and Access Point deployment
- Maintains personal knowledge of Manufacturer technology developments
- Cisco Nexus and Catalyst range of products
- Cisco Software Defined Networking configuration and deployment experience
- Essential minimum level accreditation of CCNA Routing & Switching
- Ability to understand 3rd party IP applications/Concepts i.e. BMS, Lighting Controls, CCTV etc.
- Desirable to have Wireless desktop and physical on-site surveying experience
